Jenna Anderson
Jenna is a rising senior at Northwestern University where she studies journalism and has minors in sociology, and has an Integrated Marketing Communications Certificate. She is originally from West Bloomfield, Michigan. This summer, Jenna is an intern at Inc. Magazine in New York. She previously interned at the Michigan Chronicle, is the print managing editor of North By Northwestern Magazine and freelances for Detroit Jewish News. Alex Dong
Alex is a Yale University senior where he studies biomedical engineering and the humanities, with a minor in journalism. He is originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This summer, Alex is an intern at Fast Company. Before his ASME internship, Alex served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Scientific Magazine and the Yale Layer. Kaitlyn Huamani
Originally from Gladstone, New Jersey, Kaitlyn is a rising senior at the University of Southern California. At school, Kaitlyn studies journalism and has minors in culture, media and entertainment and web development. This summer, Kaitlyn is interning at PEOPLE Magazine. Her other work includes serving as the editor of arts, culture and entertainment at USC’s Annenberg Media and as an editorial intern at The Bernardsville News. Eden Stratton
Eden is a rising senior at Syracuse University, originally from Waterloo, Illinois. A double-major in journalism and political, Eden is the perfect fit for their ASME internship at The War Horse. Eden is the current editor-in-chief of Jerk Magazine and an intern at Central New York Community Foundation. Eden is a fan of music, art, travel, politics, and web design! Essence Wiley
Essence is a rising senior at Howard University where she studies journalism and has a minor in Spanish. Essence hails from New York, New York by way of Atlanta, Georgia. Her ASME assignment was at Washingtonian. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of Howard's campus magazine, Cover 2 Cover Mag, she interned at CNN and also has freelanced for Essence GU. Eleanor Chalstrom
Eleanor is a rising senior at Iowa State University, originally from Sioux City, Iowa. She is a journalism and political science major, with a minor in history. Her ASME assignment this summer is Bob Vila.com. Eleanor's past experience includes an apprenticeship at EatingWell.com, serving as the managing editor at the Iowa State Daily, and overseeing editorial content at TREND Magazine. Emily Figueroa
Emily is a rising senior from DePaul University, where she is a journalism major with a minor in environmental communication. This summer, Emily interned at World Wildlife Fund. Nora Knoepflmacher
A rising senior at Wesleyan Univesity, Nora is an English major with an art history minor. Originally from New York, New York, she fits right in at her ASME assignment at HGTV Magazine. Sasha Wayman
Sasha is a rising senior at New York University where she studies media, culture, and communication and has a minor in journalism. She hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This summer Sasha's ASME internship position is at Real Simple. Prior to ASME, Sasha was an editorial intern at V Magazine and she has freelance work featured in Teen Vogue, Bustle, Essence GU, and Byrdie. Fraley is a Birmingham, Alabama native and a rising senior at Washington and Lee University. She is a journalism major with a minor in studio art.
